久坐而引起的肌肉痠痛及背痛問題在香港十分常見。EKOBOR的創辦人陳苡棋（Kei），一位為孩子盡心盡力的雙職母親，亦不例外。在懷有龍鳳胎期間，長期在辦公室久坐工作加上懷孕造成的身體變化，導致她的椎間過度受壓，嚴重影響生活及健康。而且，久坐導致血液循環不佳，有機會危害胎兒發展，令Kei意識到辦公室健康環境的重要性。而她曾在有瑞典背景的公司任職，早留意到歐洲盛行「站坐工作」的模式。有見及此，她決心引入這股健康潮流，成立EKOBOR，推動香港的職場健康文化。
